Chesterfield Town Results & Goalscorers

29th April 2017 onwards

Carter Murray-Car’s brace put Chesterfield Town U18’s (Rowsley) well on the way to Victory as they triumphed over Matlock 4-1. Stephen Bright and Max Didcock rounded off the scoreline.

U15’s Juniors (Mansfield) took on Espial in their final game of the season. They have come a long way since suffering a heavy defeat to the visitors at the start of the season and held them to a one all draw thanks to good team work in defence and a goal for Charlie Mitchell.

The Men's team lifted the MRA Supplementry Cup with a 2-0 victory over Moira United. A successful end to a very good season in Division 1. Grant Mitchell scored both goals from the Penalty Spot although the scoreline could have been a lot greater if it wasn't for the opposition keeper.

U13’s (Mansfield) were crowned league champions after beating Brampton 5-1 in their final game of the season.

The nail biting game would see whoever emerged victorious crowned league winners but town had no doubt in their mind that they would lift the title. Two fantastic braces for Jay Jay Cutts and Shea bamford plus one for Kieran Bagnall ensured that town lifted the trophy. The team pictured are managed by Malc Siddall and sponsored by Container Components.

Elsewhere U18’s (Rowsley) saw their season end in style with a 9-0 victory over Matlock.

A hat trick for Max Didcock, a brace for Stephen Bright plus one each for Joe Clarke, Theo Jarrald, Alex Fletcher and Carter Murray-Carr saw the U18’s side triumphant win.

22nd & 23rd April 2017

The men's team took their 3rd Premier league scalp in as many weeks to reach the MRA Supplimentry Cup Final by beating Shirebrook Rangers 4-2. Two groals each from Cory 'the bull' Burton and Jordan 'the yank' Parsons saw Town book their place at Clay Cross Town on the 6th May. Well Done guys!

Chesterfield Town U15’s (Rowsley) took on local rivals Brampton Rovers in the final of the Primary Cup held at the Impact Arena, Alfreton Town. As they went one nil down it looked as though town would have to surrender their title but a wonder strike from Charlie Mitchell put them back in the game. A free kick for Charlie Mitchell and a good header from George Galpin saw town 3-1 up at half time.Brampton battled well and piled on the pressure to see them score again. It looked for the last 5 minutes as though the game might go to extra time until a fantastic shot from Kieron Bath resulted in town’s 4th goal and see them claim the cup champion’s title for the 3rd year running. Special mention goes to captain Louis Cottrell who took man of the match.

U16's Whites (Sheffield) drew 1-1 in their final game of the season against Southey Cross Rangers. Owen Oliver scored for town.

 

15th & 16th April 2017

Town's mens team edged closer to the Supplimentry Cup Final with a 2-1 win against Wirksworth Town, Jordan Parsons bagged a double; the first just after 90 seconds. A draw next week at Shirebrook Rangers will see Town reach the Final.

8th & 9th April 2017

Great win for Mens team over Premier League champions Rowsley 86. Cory Buxton cancelled out Rowsley's opener in the first half and second half goals from Calum Featherstone (pen) and Jordan Parson saw Town edge the Supplimentry Cup game 3-2.

U16's Whites (Sheffield) triumphed over MDS Falcons after a superb goal from Sonny Webb and a well taken penalty from Luke Feather saw the home side run out 2-0 winners.

U15’s (Rowsley) took on top of the table Buxton and after a good display of team work found themselves one nil up thanks to a thunderstrike from Finn Oakley. However 2 defensive and keeper errors cost town dearly. They had their good fair of chances to equalise, hitting the bar and missing a sitter, but it wasn’t their day as they lost 2-1.

1st & 2nd April 2017

The Men's Team last League fixture saw them travel to top of the table unbeaten Melbourne Dynamo. However Town spolled the party with a terffic performance winning 3-1. Cory Burton scored two with Calum Featherstone getting the third in time added on.

U14’s (Sheffield) did the double as they triumphed over Laughton Boys in the Final of the Cannikin Cup. A brace from Brandon Forester and one for Earth Serpitant saw town with a comfortable lead with 12 minutes to play. However Laughton fought back and pushed the game into extra time. Town this time weren’t ready to give up and a header from leading season goalscorer Brandon Forester ensured a 4-3 victory with Mark Bright securing man of the match.

Goals from Isaac Dunwell, James Hinchley and Max Hartshorn sealed a strong win for U16's Whites (Sheffield) as they beat Woodhouse Juniors 3-1.

Joe Clarke was hailed a hero scoring 4 tremendous goals to help U18’s (Rowsley) emerge victorious over Wingerworth. Max Didcock, Theo Jarrald and Carter Murray-Carr also found the back of the net to see town run out 7-2 winners.

U15’s (Rowsley) put on a fine display of football and teamwork as they beat Pinxton 5-0. Finn Oakley and Joshua Green both secured braces with Charlie Mitchell also netting. Kieron Bath took man of the match.

 

25th & 26th March 2017

U15’s Junior’s (Mansfield) won the first Cup of the season after triumphing over Skegby Colts in the Supplementary cup. A fantastic header opened the scoring from midfielder Tom Selby followed by a wonder strike from Charlie Mitchell. Caleb Fletcher’s penalty sealed the fate and gave town a 3-1 win.

U18’s (Rowsley) took on local rivals Brampton Rovers. Any fears for town were soon quashed after a brace from Max Didcock. Theo Jarrald, Stephen Bright, Carter Murray-Carr and Tom Payne also found the back of the net to see town run out 6-2 winners.

In their last league game of the season U14’s Whites (Sheffield) finished the season as they started with a tremendous 9-2 win over Southey Wolves. A fantastic 4 goals for man of the match Earth Serpitant led the rout followed by a brace for Morgan Hodgson. Mark Bright, Daniel Wood and Brandon Forester also scored.

U15’s (Rowsley) also took on local rivals Brampton Rovers. The early start didn’t hinder town’s efforts as they found themselves all level at half time after a brilliant header from Charlie Mitchell. With all to play for in the second half, Charlie Mitchell again found the back of the net as did Joshua Green; however a lapse in concentration resulting in a penalty saw the game finish 3-3.

U16's Whites crashed out of the Shield Cup after losing 1-0 to Maltby Juniors in the semi final.

18th & 19th March 2017

U14’s Whites (Sheffield) were crowned league champions after a fantastic 7-0 win over Greasborough FC. Brandon Forester continued in his good form with a brace, while Earth Serpitant, Connor Wallace, Sam Habberjam, Jack Shaw and Lucas Walker all found the back of the net.

An amazing achievement for their first season in the Sheffield League.

Windy conditions saw U15’s (Rowsley) suffer defeat to Buxton as the visitors made the most of their half advantage. Penalties for Elliot Allsop and Caleb Fletcher weren’t enough as the home side lost 5-2.

Despite goals from Mathew Birks and Stephen Bright U18 (Rowsley) lost 2-3 to Tansley.

U16's Whites (Sheffield) lost 3-0 to Hallam Rangers.

11th & 12th March 2017

The Men's team hit double figures against Rowsley 86 Reserves gaining revenge for a 7-3 defeat earlier in the season. Hatricks from skipper Danny Clay & Jordan Parson helped Town to a 10-0 victory. Jack Wynn, Cory Burton, Sam Labrum and Callum Featherstone all weighed in with goals.

U15’s Juniors (Mansfield) took on division two side Sutton on Trent in the quarter final of the Knock Out Cup. After a lackluster first half they were one nil up after a free kick resulted in a goal from Louie Davis. However the second half saw them come out resilient and battle onwards to see them emerge 5-0 winners and book themselves a place in the semi final. Louie Davis scored another free kick, a tremendous strike from Jake Rogers, a tap home from Charlie Mitchell and an own goal rounded off the scoring.

In a tightly fought game U16's Whites (Sheffield) narrowly beat MDS Falcons 2-1 with thanks to goals from Sonny Webb and James Homan.

 

4th & 5th March 2017

16 year old Matt Birks hit an 89th minute winner for the Men's team in a 3-2 win over Wirksworth Town Reserves who fielded a number of first teamers. Cory Burton and Sam Labrum also scored as Town came back from 2-0 down.

U14’s (Sheffield) booked themselves in the cup final after 3 late goals bagged them a win over Beighton Magpies. A free kick from Mark Bright and a brace for Daniel Wood saw the team emerge victorious.

U15’s Junior’s (Mansfield) battled well to ensure a 3-2 victory over Skegby Colts. Man of the match Charlie Mitchell hit home a brace with Jake Rogers also netting.

 

25th & 26th February 2017

Callum Featherstone's double and a headed own goal saw the Men's team return from Sherwin with all three points in a 3-1 win.

A hat trick for Max Didcock plus a goal each for Theo Jarrald and Sully ensured victory was town’s U18’s (Rowsley) for the taking as they triumphed over Brampton 5-1.

3 quick goals before halftime helped U14’s (Sheffield) secure 3 valuable points towards gaining promotion in their 1st season in Sheffield league. Marc Bright led the way with 2 absolute stunning strikes, his 1st with outside of foot curling into top corner from 20 yards, then a scissor kick to rifle home the second. Brandon Forester scored from a corner with Morgan Hodgson slotting home from close range. Man of the match Daniel Wood with a Mazie run and finish to give town their 5th goal and a 5-2 victory.

Despite playing some outstanding football, some miscommunication at the back saw U15’s Junior’s (Mansfield) defeated 2-0 at Ashfield.

Goals from Joe Bramley and Elliot Allsop weren’t enough as U15’s (Rowsley) lost 4-2 to local rivals Brampton Rovers.

 

 

18th & 19th February 2017

U14s (Sheffield) triumphed over Rotherham Rangers after a stunning first half display. Brandon Forrester led the way with his 21st and 22nd goals of the season, followed by a goal for Earth Serpitant. New signing Morgan Hodgson also scored with Lucas Walker taking the score to 6-1 after a Rotherham own goal. Jack Shaw took man of the match for his efforts in defence.

A penalty for Eddie Crapper plus goals from Harvey Jones, Regan Millard (3), Rio Topham, Luke Gee and Oliver Rowan saw U15’s (Mansfield) win 8-0 over fellow U15’s Junior’s.

Goals from Joshua Green and Jack Johnson ensured a hard fought game for U15’s (Rowsley) against Somersall Rangers. The match went to the line but unfortunately it wasn’t town’s day as they lost 3-2.

U18 (Rowsley) lost 1-0 to Bakewell.

11th & 12th February 2017

Cory Burton was Town's MRA scorer in a 2-1 defeat at home to Castle Donington Cobras.

A hat-trick for Sonny Webb with a brace for Jay Clements saw U16's Whites (Sheffield) triumph over Darfield with a fantastic 6-1 win. Sam Morgan also scored.

In the battle of the town teams U15’s Junior’s (Manjsfield) took on U15’s. Unfortunately top of the league proved too great a match for the juniors who lost 9-1 despite a goal from James Bean.

4th & 5th February 2017

U15’s Junior’s (Mansfield) booked themselves a place in the Knock Out Cup quarter final with a 4-0 win over Mansfield Boys. A brace for Caleb Fletcher plus a goal each for Charlie Mitchell and Elliot Allsop rounded off the scoreline.

U16's Whites triumphed over Rawmarsh St Joseph 4 goals to nil with thanks to goals from Isaac Dunwell, Sonny Webb, Jay Clements and James Hinchley.

Goals from Carter Murray-Carr and Alex Fletcher saw U18’s (Rowsley) seal a 2-0 victory over Somersall.

28th & 29th January 2017

The Men's team took sweet revenge on Little Eaton who knocked them out of the cup before Chriistmas with a 7-1 thumping at Langer Lane. Grant Miitchell scored 4, Jack Wynn 2 and Harry Denton completed the rout with his first for the men's team.

U15’s (Rowsley) demonstrated some good team work as they triumphed over Hasland Eagles 4-2. Caleb Fletcher scored two fine headers with Jake Rogers and Joshua Cotterill sealing the victory.

A strong second half performance from U14’s Whites (Sheffield) gave them 3 points as they beat Charnock Ridgeway 5-0. Brandon Forester scored a brace with Mark Bright, Connor Wallace and Earth Serpiantant rounding off the scoreline. Man of the match went to keeper Chris Brown for his outstanding saves during the first half.

U16's Whites (Sheffield) drew 3-3 at home to Hillsborough Pumas Black. Goalscorers were, James Hinchley, Adam Hills and Owen Oliver (penalty)

​Despite a brace for Luke Roper, U15’s Junior’s (Mansfield) could only manage a 2-2 draw against Skegby Colts.

Magnificent performance today from Chesterfield Town u9's led out by this weeks Captain Charlie Hardy, leading his team brilliantly with a great performance in the centre of midfield. Today was a real team performance from Chesterfield Town with excellent football and attitude from all players. We were witness to some excellent goals today with a superb free kick from Alfie Elliott, Connor Bamborough finding the back of the net with a cracking delivery from a Billy Kyte corner and Lewis Craven thumping one home from distance. The Ultimate Team Player award this week was awarded to Alfie Elliott for a fantastic performance in defence.

21st & 22nd January 2017

U13’s (Mansfield) continued in their push to be crowned league champions with a 3-1 win over Collingham FC. Goals came from Shae Bamford (2) and Brady Brown.

U18’s (Rowsley) beat Ashover by a goal to nil with a fine taken goal from Carter Murray-Carr.

Despite a goal from Caleb Fletcher, U15’s Junior’s (Mansfield) lost 4-1 to Robin Hood Colts.

U15’s (Rowsley) lost 2-0 to Bakewell.

 

14th & 15th January 2017

In a battle of the bottom two U15’s Junior’s (Mansfield) took on Skegby Colts. Man of the match Tom Selby opened the scoring on his debut for the team followed by well taken goals for Luke Roper (2), Charlie Mitchell, Caleb Fletcher, Louis Cottrell and James Bean to see the Junior’s run out 7-1 winners.

U14’s (Sheffield) grabbed a hard fought 2-1 win against local rivals Brampton. Danny Cooke scored towns 1st goal with substitute Daniel Wood taking the 2nd. Man of the Match went to Lucas Walker.

In a season plagued by injury U15’s (Rowsley) lost 1-0 away to Pinxton.

7th & 8th January 2017

Grant Mitchell scored the Men's first of 2017 in a scrappy 1-1 draw at rivals Matlock Unied.

The Christmas break didn’t hinder the U16's Whites (Sheffield) as they triumphed 7-2 over Abbey Lane. A hat trick for Owen Oliver plus a goal each for Sonny Webb, James Hinchley, Jay Clements and Cameron Blacklaws concluded the scoreline.

Hatricks for Brandon Forester and Sam Habberjam saw U14’s (Sheffield) excel against Junior Fox with a 6-0 win. Jack Jolley grabbed man of the match award.

U15’s Junior’s (Mansfield) put in a valiant effort but unfortunately it wasn’t enough as they lost 4-0 to Shirebrook Rangers. Man of the Match went to Louie Davis.

The Men's team finished 2016 in style with a 2-0 victory at AFC Kilburn Reserves.

10th & 11th December 2016

U15’s Rowsley clung on the hope of retaining their cup winners title with a win over Buxton to see them book their place in the Cup final. A whole team man of the match performance and goals scored by Finn Oakley (2), Charlie Mitchell and Kai Cockayne saw them run out 4-1 winners.

In a top of the table clash, U14’s (Sheffield) took on Brampton Yellow away with town emerging 4-1 winners. Two goals from Tristan Craggs led the way followed by one each for Brandon Forester and Daniel Wood. All 12 players took man of the match.

Even a goal from Owen Oliver wasn’t enough as U16's Whites (Sheffield) lost 2-1 to Southey Cross Rangers.

U15’s Juniors battled well against Winthorpe Coddington Tigers but it wasn’t their day as they lost 3-1 with Charlie Mitchell scoring towns only goal.

3rd & 4th December 2016

U14’s (Sheffield) were gracious in their victory over Brunsmeer Athletic. In an attempt to lessen their 13-1 win, the team allowed the opposition to increase their team size demonstrating true sportsmanship. Man of the Match Brandon Forester and Tristan Craggs both scored hat tricks, followed by a brace for Earth Serpitant plus one each for Daniel Wood, Chadlen Pick, Jack Jolley, Jack Shaw and Connor Wallace.

U15’s (Rowsley) saw a return to winning ways with a 7-0 victory over Hasland. Goals came from Joshua Green (2), Charlie Mitchell (2), Jack Johnson, Caleb Fletcher and Ben Partner.

U16's Whites triumphed over Hallam Rangers with a 4-0 win. Goalscorer’s were Sonny Webb (2), Sam Morgan and Jay Clements.

U14’s (Sheffield) progressed to the Semi Finals of the Cup after extra time with a 4-3 win over Millmoor Juniors. A brace for Jack Jolley and a goal for Mark Bright saw them draw level 3-3 at full time. Earth Serpitant clinched the winner and took man of the match award with 5 minutes to go.

Unbeaten U18’s (Rowsley) took on a strong Tansley side but despite a goal from Gareth Davis could only manage a 1-1 draw.

U15’s Junior’s (Mansfield) lost 8-2 to Shirebrook. Kieron Bath scored towns first with James Bean scoring the second on his team debut.

Even a goal from Fraser Bowman wasn’t enough as U15’s Junior’s (Mansfield) lost 4-1 to Ashfield.

26th & 27th November 2016

Any chance of the Men's team having a cup run this season ended with a 3-2 defeat to Little Eaton. Craig Purcell and Grant Mitchell scored Town's goals.

19th & 20th November 2016

Great performance from the men's team to come away from Castle Donnington Cobras with a point. Cory Burton and a screamer from Tommy Goodwin were Town's scorers in a 2-2 draw.

U13’s (Mansfield) triumphed over Bolsover with a 6-0 victory. A hat trick for Shae Bamford and a brace for Brady Brown followed by one from Kieran Bagnall concluded the scoreline.

U15’s (Rowsley) lost 4-0 to Tibshelf.

12th & 13th November 2016

A superb first half free kick from Jack Wynn saw the Men's team get back to winning ways with a 2-1 victory over Moira United. Cory Burton's was Town's other scorer with his first of the season cancelling Moira's 1st minute opener.

Goals from Joshua Green and Joshua Cotterill meant U15’s (Rowsley) defended their Primary Cup champions title and booked their place in the semi final after a 2-0 win over Bakewell.

U18’s (Rowsley) took on Somersall in the quarter final of the primary cup. Goals from Alex Fletcher, Joe Clarke, Bill Braithwaite and Theo Jarrald took the match to extra time at 4-4. The hard fought game ended in penalties to decide their fate with town emerging triumphant with thanks to keeper Sam Ogden who saved penalty number 9 and then scored number 9 nine to see them run out 9-8 winners.

U14’s (Sheffield) beat Rotherham All Stars 4-2. Jack Shaw led the way with 2 fine goals with Earth Serpitant and Sam Habberjam following. Charlie Sabido took man of the match.

U16's Whites (Sheffield) took on Wisewood Juniors Black in the 3rd round of the Sheffield & Hallamshire Cup. Despite a closely battled game and a goal from Sonny Webb, town lost 2-1.

U15’s Junior’s (Mansfield) lost 3-1 at home to Robin Hood Colts in the quarter final of the Benevolent Cup. George Galpin scored for town.

U13’s (Mansfield) took on Brampton Rovers in the quarter final of the Benevolent Cup. The closely fought game saw them take their opponents to extra time but unfortunately it wasn’t town’s day as they lost 3-0.

5th & 6th November 2016

The men's team poor form continued as they lost 2-1 to a very ordinary Matlock United. The winning goal from the visitors came in injury time. Jordan Parson was Town's scorer in the first half.

U14’s (Sheffield) triumphed 6-2 over Greasbrough Youth with thanks to goals from Daniel Wood (2), Marc Bright, Brandon Forester and Sam Habberjam (2). Special mention must go to stand in keeper Oliver Bannister who had a very good game and produced some decent saves. 

Even a brace from Joshua Green and a goal from Joe Bramley wasn’t enough as U15’s (Rowsley) lost 4-3 to Tansley.

Despite their best efforts U18’s (Rowsley) lost 4-1 to Somersall. Theo Jarrald scored for town.

U16's Whites (Sheffield) lost 4-0 to Darfield JFC.

29th & 30th October 2016

Despite a hard fought performance, the men's team lost 2-1 to top of the table and unbeaten Melbourne Dynamoes. Grant Mitchell was Town's scorer.

U16's Whites (Sheffield) triumphed over Rawmarsh St. Joseph Whites with a 3-1 win. Isaac Dunwell, Sam Morgan and Will Kershaw all scored for town.

U15’s (Rowsley) drew 2-2 at home to Hasland Eagles with George Galpin and Caleb Fletcher scoring.

U15 Juniors (Mansfield) battled well but a lack of confidence in their abilities led to a 7-1 defeat against Ashfield FC. Jake Rogers scored towns only goal.

22nd & 23rd October 2016

A bad Saturday for Town as they went down 4-0 at home to Castle Donington Cobras in the MRA Challenge Cup. Craig Purcell was Town's MOTM.

U14's (Sheffield) took on Charnock Ridgeway and emerged victorious with a 7-1 win! Some really good defending and some great finishing ensured the 3 points were
there's for the taking. Substitute Dan Wood led the way with a great hat-trick followed up by goals from Marc Bright 2, Danny cooke and Brandon Forester. A
very good team performance but well done to Chadlen pick who grabbed man of match award.

U16's Whites (Sheffield) triumphed over Hillsborough Pumas Black with a 2-1 win. Goalscorers were Sonny Webb and Jay Clements.

U15's (Rowsley) drew 2-2 away to wingerworth. Goals came from Josh Green and Finn Oakley.

A goal from Cullen Tebb wasn't enough to secure a victory as U18's (Rowsley) drew at home to Wingerworth.

15th & 16th October 2016

A very good team performance saw the Men's team match MRA Premier League Shirebrook Rangers in the Derbyshire Divisional Cup North but a second half header saw the hosts run out 1-0 winners. Craig Purcell was Town's MOTM.

U14’s (Sheffield) beat top of the league Southey Wolves to book their place in the next round of the cup. A great all round team performance saw town emerge triumphant with a 7-2 win. Man of the match Brandon Forester scored a hat-trick followed up by 2 good goals from Mark Bright. Danny Cooke’s great strike from 18 yards out and a well taken goal from Oliver Bannister concluded the scoreline.

U15’s (Rowsley) defended their title of Primary Cup Champions with a 5-1 win over Pinxton FC. After missing 3 sitter’s man of the match Charlie Mitchell finally found the back of the net and managed to secure himself a hat trick. George Galpin and Jake Rogers also scored to ensure town booked their place in the next round.

U13’s took on local rivals Brampton Rovers and after a closely fought game ran out 3-2 winners with thanks to goals from Brady Brown (2) and Jay-Jay Cutts.

8th & 9th October 2016

In the Mansfield Benevolent cup weekend, town’s team’s came out on top. U13’s beat Ashover 4-0 with thanks to a hat trick from Brady Brown and an own goal.

U15’s Junior’s won their first game this season 3-0 beating Sutton on Trent after goals from Caleb Fletcher, Charlie Mitchell and Elliot Allsop. Luke Roper took man of the match.

U15’s (Rowsley) put the last few weeks behind them with a 3-1 win over Matlock Gladiators. Charlie Mitchell and Caleb Fletcher (2) scored for town with George Galpin taking man of the match.

U16's Whites were successful in the second round of the County Cup beating Cumberworth Juniors 2-1. Sam Morgan and Sonny Webb scored for town.

Even goals from Stephen Bright (2) and Max Didcock couldn’t help U18’s (Rowsley) as they lost 6-3 away to Ashover.

1st & 2nd October 2016

Two goals in the last four minutes saw the men's team come from behind to win 2-1 at Little Eaton in Division One of the MRA. Grant Mitchell and Danny Clay were Town's scorers with Jack Wynn taking the MOM honours.

U14’s (Sheffield) long away trip to Barnsley didn’t affect their performance as they came away with 3 points after a comfortable 7-0. Mark bright opened the scoring for town with 2 goals and Sam Habberjam followed with a top class free kick. Earth Serpitant, Charlie Sabido, Brandon Forestor and man of match Danny Cooke completed the scoreline.

Town U18’s (Rowsley) were triumphant after their 7-0 win over Matlock. Goals from Theo Jarrald and Max Didcock along with a hat trick from Stephen Bright and a brace from Connah Evans sealed the victory.

Goals from Max Hartshorn, Owen Oliver and Sonny Webb ensured victory was U16’s Whites (Sheffield) as they triumphed over Woodhouse Juniors 3-1.

U13’s (Mansfield) narrowly beat local rivals Espial FC 3-2 with thanks to goals from Brady Brown, Shae Bamford and Jay-Jay Cutts.

It was the battle of the town U15’s as Town took on Town Juniors. However even a fantastic free kick for the Junior’s from Joshua Cotterill wasn’t enough as the league leaders sealed a 14-1 victory.

24th & 25th September 2016

The Men's team finished on the right side of a nine goal thriller as they beat Wirksworth Town Reserves 5-4. Jordan Parson and Jack Wynn both scored two each with Curtis McLeish hitting a 5th.

Town U13’s (Mansfield) were triumphant in their second game of the season with a 17-0 win over Sherwood Colliery.

U14’s (Sheffield) have made a good start at home in the Sheffield league with 3 wins out of 4. This weekend saw them emerge 4-3 winners against a strong Junior Fox side. Prolific marksmen Brandon Forester has started this season where he left off scoring 6 goals so far, supported by some excellent team performances.

A hat trick for Carter Murray and a brace from Stephen Bright ensured the win was theirs for the taking as U18’s (Rowsley) triumphed over Brampton Rovers 8-3. Theo Jarrald, Alex Fletcher and Mathew Birks also scored.

U16's Whites (Sheffield) beat Abbey Lane 7-1 with thanks to goals from Isaac Dunwell (3), James Hinchley (2), Sonny Webb and Owen Oliver.

U15’s (Mansfield) suffered their 3rddefeat in a row with a 7-2 loss against Robin Hood Colts. Man of the match Jake Rogers and Elliot Allsop scored town’s only goals.

U15’s (Rowsley) lost 4-2 at home to Wingerworth with Jack Johnson and Joshua Green scoring for town.

17th & 18th September 2016

A hat trick for Carter Murray- Carr ensured Town U18’s (Rowsley) victory over Bakewell as they won 3-2.

Town U16's Whites (Sheffield) were triumphant as the beat Maltby Juniors 4-3. Jay Clements, Sam Morgan, Isaac Dunwell and Sonny Webb all scored for town.

Town U14’s (Sheffield) beat Laughton Boys 4-2 with Brandon Forester and Mark Bright both achieving braces. The whole team took man of the match award for a great team display.

U15’s Juniors (Mansfield) lost 5-1 away to Winthorpe/ Coddington Tigers with Kieron Bath scoring towns only goal and Elliot Allsop taking man of the match.

U15’s (Rowsley) lost in their first game of the season 8-0 to a hungry Bakewell side.

Chesterfield Town u9's vs Blidworth Welfare - Chesterfields second game of the season, and another fantastic performance. Blidworth looked strong, with some talented footballers, but Chesterfield controlled the game from the start to the final whistle. Billy Kyte opened the scoring with a great goal, and could have made it two were it not for a great penalty save by Blidworths Keeper. Blidworth equalised with a superb long range shot, but Chesterfield took the lead again with some great link up play and a superb right foot finish by Tyler Hicklin. Second half, Chesterfield defended strongly and never really looked out of control. Well done to Charlie Hardy, who captained well. Man of the match was Reece Atkinson, who controlled defence and tackled like Tony Adams. Well done lads.

10th & 11th September 2016

Chesterfield Town Juniors kicked off their season with a 3-2 loss at home to Winthorpe and Coddington Tigers. Caleb Fletcher and Jack Johnson scored for town.

Sherwood Colliery Black vs Chesterfield Town FC u9's - The first game of the season and what a game it was. We have welcomed 8 new players this year and each and everyone of them have given 100% in preparation for the new season. Chesterfield Town were led out by captain Billy Kyte dubbed by his team mates as the 'Corner Captain'. It soon became clear why with Billy taking the first corner of the game and placing the ball perfectly in the path of Connor Bamborough to put the ball home and give Chesterfield the lead. Chesterfield Town continued to apply pressure to a Sherwood side we know to be very strong going forward. The lads continued to push forward with a further 3 fantastic goals from Connor Bamborough and a wonderfully struck penalty by Captain Billy Kyte. All the lads played very well as a team and all played their part in this fantastic fixture with Chesterfield Town victorious at the final whistle. Well done boys!

3rd & 4th September 2016

Town u14s kicked off their new season in the Sheffield league with a 9-1 win at home against Brunsmeer Athletic. Brandon Forester and Daniel Wood both achieved hat tricks with a brace for Sam Habberjam. Eart Surrpitant scored his first goal for the team which rounded off the scoreline. Man of the match honours went to Connor Wallace.
