Good
afternoon Chesterfield Town U9 supporters
T Bone T your resident match reporter and weather man here direct
from the T shack
Congratulations to Welbeck Welfare Reds on their cup triumph earlier
this week
First of all I would like to compliment Gaye on here fine example
of arriving at the ground
without missing a single turn it was a very smooth run absolutely
fantastic
The weather was warm & cloudy with some rain in the air
The pitch looked my head with grass in places and other areas marked
with lines which should not be there again its that time of the
year
It was the final league game of the season with Chesterfield Town
U9 needing to win to secure the league
The game kicked off at 10:00
Chesterfield Town U9 started the game as they meant to go on
Luke (Left Foot Whizz) Waller passed the ball to Ryan (Air) Mills
on the right his ball inside
found Rio (Marksman) Topham who shot just wide
Finn (Sure Shot) Oakley picked up the ball in mid field and had
a great run a quick flick found
Ryan (Air) Mills his cross was cleared as far as Joe (Jinker) Millward
whose shot from 20 metres found the top corner 1-0
Jamie (Mr Cool) Bonsor never put a foot wrong at the back clearing
up everything that Welbeck Welfare Reds could throw at Chesterfield
Town U9's
(Cool Hand) Luke Spragg pulled off a couple of fine saves and released
the ball well finding Finn (Sure Shot) Oakley a fine pass down the
left went to Joe (Jinker) Millward his pass found Sam (Hitman) Goodban
on the edge of the penalty area
Sam turned in a flash and unleashed a shot in one move a contender
for goal of the season 2-0
Elliot (Ellboy) Allsop had a fine run down the left wing his pass
went Luke (Left Foot Whizz) Waller but a stray pass from Luke went
to a Welbeck Welfare Reds attacker we had no defence where was Jamie
(Mr Cool) Bonsor unknown to everyone he had
taken a knock in the face finding great courage he picked himself
up and his speed and determination prevented a goal
(Cool Hand) Luke Spragg cleared the ball up field Welbeck Welfare
Reds U9 headed the ball away as far as Jamie (Mr Cool) Bonsor who
threaded an unbelievable ball down the right to Ryan (Air) Mills
a pass to Rio (Marksman) Topham quick flick to Sam (Hitman) Goodban
another fine strike 3-0
Half Time Welbeck Welfare Reds 0 V Chesterfield Town U9 3
The second half started in the same mode as the first Chesterfield
Town U9 playing some great football but Welbeck Welfare looked dangerous
at times going forward
Elliot (Ellboy) Allsop was having a fine game down the left and
put Rio (Marksman) Topham through on goal twice with some fantastic
first time passes Rio only denied by 2 great saves by the Welbeck
Welfare Reds U9 keeper
Then a great ball down the right from Josh (Sonic) Cotterill found
Sam (Hitman) Goodban a great ball across the box and Elliot (Ellboy)
Allsop produced an excellent right foot finish 4-0
Josh (Sonic) Cotterill then had some defending to do which he did
to perfection passing the ball to Ryan (Air) Mills
a great ball ball found Joe (Jinker) Millward on the left Joe beat
2 defenders to make it 5-0
Luke (Left Foot Whizz) Waller was found by a great cross from Sam
(Hitman) Goodban Luke some how missed from 2 metres, not like Luke
Jamie (Mr Cool) Bonsor passed the ball to Finn (Sure Shot) Oakley
he passed to Joe (Jinker) Millward
Joe pulled the ball inside a hit the back of the net from all of
15 metres 6-0
Final Score Welbeck Welfare Reds U9 0 V Chesterfield Town U9 6
Scorers Joe (Jinker) Millward 3, Sam (Hitman) Goodban 2, Elliot
(Ellboy) Allsop 1

Good
afternoon Chesterfield Town U9 supporters
T bone T Your resident match reporter and weather man here direct
from the T shack
I took my dog a walk this morning in a very cold northerly wind so
I put on 3 layers of clothes thinking it was going to be cold only
to be fooled as it became rather warm and sunny during the game
The game kicked off at 11:00
Chesterfield Town U9 kicking towards the changing rooms
The pitch looked like a very nice garden centre selling Dandelions
and Daisies and the grass was 3 inch long probably due to council
cut backs and being towards the end of the season at least we could
see the lines.
Chesterfield Town U9 started like a team looking to win the game from
the start
A great pass from Luke (left Foot Whizz) Waller went to Sam (Hitman)
Goodban on the right his shot went just wide
Joe (Jinker) Millward's great through ball found Rio (Marksman) Topham
in space great save by the Walesby JFC U9 keeper
Jamie (Mr Cool) Bonsor moved the ball to Luke (Left Foot Whizz) Waller
who threaded the ball to Joe (Jinker) Millward he pulled the ball
back to Finn (Sure Shot) Oakley a fine shot made it 1-0
Walesby JFC U9 had a counter attack which was easily dealt with by
Josh (Sonic) Cotterill unfortunately Josh's momentum took him out
of the area free kick Walesby JFC U9 the cross was headed away by
Finn (Sure Shot) Oakley to Joe (Jinker) Millward fine crossfield ball
to Sam (Hitman) Goodban on the right Sam switched the ball left to
Rio (Marksman) Topham 2-0 probably the best goal of the season reminding
me of Arsenal at their best
We then did some more impressions of Arsenal playing great football
and trying to walk the ball in to the net exactly like they do and
overplaying on numerous occasions
Walesby JFC U9 then started to get back in to the game and Chesterfield
Town U9 went on the back foot and let them play holding back not marking
and letting them run through the defence if it had not been for 3
magnificent saves by Josh (Sonic) Cotterill at this stage Chesterfield
Town U9 could have been up against it
The storm was weathered and the last chance of the first half went
to Elliot (Ellboy) Allsop after a fine pass from Ryan (Air) Mills
Elliot (Ellboy) Allsop shot went just wide
Half Time Chesterfield Town U9 2 V Walesby JFC U9 0
The second half kicked off
Chesterfield Town U9 had the wind at their backs
Ryan (Air) Mills was absolutely magnificent at the back putting in
some great challenges and clearing his lines well a real contender
for Man of The Match
A great run down the right by Ryan (Air) Mills a great pull back to
Finn (Sure Shot) Oakley who shot over the bar
Luke (Left Foot Whizz) Waller then pulled the ball back from the left
wing to Elliot (Ellboy) Allsop he shot over the bar
Chesterfield Town U9 then took a quick throw in I thought we had gone
in to slow motion after this as it took Ryan (Air) Mills an age to
cross the ball full credit to Ryan as his cross found Sam (Hitman)
Goodban in the box 3-0
Elliot (Ellboy) Allsop started to deliver some great crosses 1 swinging
in corner found Rio (Marksman) Topham he turned on a 5p and pulled
the ball back for Finn (Sure Shot) Oakley to pounce on 4-0
Jamie (Mr Cool) Bonsor pulled the ball down well and passed back to
Josh (Sonic) Cotterill he launched a long ball to Joe (Jinker) Millward
whose great run and shot hit the post
Sam (Hitman) Goodban then passed to Rio (Marksman) Topham another
great shot glanced off the post
Luke (Left Foot Whizz) Waller controlled the ball well and passed
to Finn (Sure Shot) Oakley he passed the ball
right to Ryan (Air) Mills pulling the ball inside Ryan found Elliot
(Ellboy) Allsop in space he beat 3 defenders each time having a chance
to shoot I thought he had missed his chance but eventually (Messi
like) he found the botttom corner of the net 5-0
Final Score
Chesterfield Town U9 5 V Walesby JFC U9 0
Scorers Finn (Sure Shot) Oakley 2, Rio (Marksman) Topham 1, Sam (Hitman)
Goodban 1, Elliot (Ellboy) Allsop 1
Man of The Match was a hard call today with 3 contenders I would like
to give special mentions to Finn (Sure Shot) Oakley great game
Ryan (Air) Mills absolutely outstanding but for making 3 brilliant
saves at a crucial time of the game and coming in as reserve keeper
having not played there all season Josh (Sonic) Cotterill

Good
Evening Chesterfield Town U9 Supporters
T Bone T your resident match reporter
here direct from the T Shack
The weather was fine sunny and hot all day but cooled down for an
evening kick off
at Alfreton Town's ground for the final of the Benevolant Cup
What a day I discovered more varieties of butterflies today than
ever found in a year in the Amazon rain forest
All in my stomache
The ground was excellent and full credit to Alfreton Town for letting
the final take place
It gave the lads the experience of playing in a fantastic atmosphere
made better by both sets of supporters willing their side on
The game kicked off at 18:00
Chesterfield Town U9 where soon on the attack a pass from Finn (Sure
Shot) Oakley found
Rio (Marksman) Topham in space his shot was easily saved by the
Teversal keeper
A long clearance from Teversal FC U9 was easily dealt with by Jamie
(Mr Cool) Bonsor a through ball to
Sam (Hitman) Goodban a ball inside found Luke (Left Foot Whizz)
Waller who shot wide
For the first 10 minutes Chesterfield Town U9 where the better side
then Teversal FC U9 started to play some
great passing football a brilliant 4 pass move saw me with my head
in my hands as I was certain the ball was going in but it went just
wide
some more great work by Teversal FC U9 saw (Cool Hand) Luke Spragg
keep us in the game with 2 superb saves
The second 10 minutes saw Teversal FC U9 take charge
Ryan (Air) Mills then received a great pass from Joe (Jinker) Millward
Ryan passed the ball to Finn (Sure Shot) Oakley who laid the ball
back to Elliot (Ellboy) Allsop a cracking shot was goal bound
a Teversal FC U9 defender put his hand out stopping a certain goal
the referee played an advantage which did not come to much and the
ball
went out for a goal kick or so everyone thought but the referee
gave the original penalty I personnally thought it was a great decision
up stepped Finn (Sure Shot) Oakley giving the Teversal FC U9 keeper
no chance 1-0
From the kick off Teversal FC U9 quickly moved through the gears
again and won a couple of corners easily dealt with by the Chesterfield
Town U9 defence
Sam (Hitman) Goodban passed to Jamie (Mr Cool) Bonsor his quick
thinking found Joe (Jinker) Millward who shot wide
Teversal FC U9 then moved the ball down the left a ball in side
hit Elliot (Ellboy) Allsop on the hand this stopped the ball from
finding an
attacker in space with a great chance of scoring another excellent
decision by the referee free kick Teversal FC U9
Nothing could have stopped this excellent strike which found the
bottom corner 1-1
Half Time
Chesterfield Town U9 1 V Teversal FC U9 1
The second half kicked off and both midfields cancelled each other
out in what starting to be a game of chess
neither side wanted to make a mistake which would cost them the
game
Rio (Marksman) Topham and Joe (Jinker) Millward both had a couple
of half chances easily saved
and at the other end some excellent defending by Jamie (Mr Cool)
Bonsor and Ryan (Air) Mills prevented Teversal FC U9 from creating
chances
When Teversal FC U9 did have a chance (Cool Hand) Luke Spragg was
equal to it
Luke (Left Foot Whizz) Waller threaded the ball to Finn (Sure Shot)
Oakley a pass to Joe (Jinker) Millward who shot over the bar
The final chance of the second half came when Sam (Hitman) Goodban
passed to Elliot (Ellboy) Allsop a great ball to Luke (Left Foot
Whizz) Waller
but he had to shoot quickly and the ball went wide
The whistle went for the end of the normal period of time
Chesterfield Town U9 1 V Teversal FC U9 1
Five minutes of extra time each way saw a stalemate as both sides
defended well and gave absolutely nothing away
Enter the dreaded penalty shoot out
We took the first penalty Joe (Jinker) Millwards was excellently
saved by the Teversal FC U9 Keeper
Teversal FC U9 put their penalty over the bar Luke (Left Foot Whizz)
Waller took the second giving the Teversal FC U9 keeper no chance
Teversal FC U9 made it 1-1 Finn (Sure Shot) Oakley nearly put the
goals in to the crowd Teversal FC U9 made it 2-2
Jamie (Mr Cool) Bonsor had to live up to his name and he certainly
did Teversal FC U9 made it 3-3
Up stepped Rio (Marksman) Topham who calmly slotted home Teversal
FC U9 missed 4-3 Chesterfield Town U9
The cup was ours
However it was a great feeling to win the Benevolant Cup but I would
like to congratulate Teversal FC U9 on a great game of football
it is a shame games like this have to be decided on penalties 1-1
was I feel a fair result hold your heads up high lads and good luck
for the rest of the season
Final Score Chesterfield Town U9 1 V Teversal FC U9 1
Scorer Finn (Sure Shot) Oakley
(Chesterfield Town won 4-3 on penalties)

The game kicked off at 10:00
Rio (Marksman) Topham passed the ball to Luke (Left Foot Whizz) Waller
but the final pass was over hit slightly and the ball went out harmlessly
for a goal kick
Shirebrook Rangers U9 where well organised at the back and their goal
keeper had another outstanding game saving a shot from Joe (Jinker)
Millward which went out for a corner
Sam (Hitman) Goodban took the corner and Finn (Sure Shot) Oakley headed
just wide
Shirebrook Rangers U9 put some good passes together which ended with
(Cool Hand) Luke Spragg producing a fine save
(Cool Hand) Luke Spragg found Luke (Left Foot Whizz) Waller in mid

Goodban his cross went to Rio (Marksman) Topham who was tripped the

the penalty miss behind him he made it 1-0
Ryan (Air) Mills had a great run down the right wing pulling the ball
back to Joe (Jinker) Millward the Shirebrook Rangers U9 keeper saved
brilliantly yet again
Half Time
Chesterfield Town U9 1 V Shirebrook Rangers U9 0
The second half was very much the same as the first with Chesterfield
Town U9 pressing forward and Shirebrook Rangers U9 defending well
and looking to catch us on the break
When Shirebrook Rangers U9 did attack they had the ever reliable Jamie
(Mr Cool) Bonsor to deal with Finn (Sure Shot) Oakley passed to Ryan
(Air) Mills a ball inside to Luke (Left Foot Whizz) Waller his shot
went just over Jamie (Mr Cool) Bonsor passed to Elliot (Ellboy) Allsop
his fine cross was missed by everyone and went out for a goal kick
Ryan (Air) Mills went down the right and delivered another cross which
had Joe (Jinker) Millward and Rio (Marksman) Topham sliding in for
but both just failed to turn the ball home
A quick break by Shirebrook Rangers U9 was broken down by Jamie (Mr
Cool) Bonsor his run down the centre of the field produced an inch
perfect cross to the head of Rio (Marksman) Topham he powered the
ball home leaving the Shirebrook Rangers U9 keeper
with no chance 2-0
The last chance of the game fell to Finn (Sure Shot) Oakley but his
shot went wide of the post

It was hot today with Mr Sun's rays looking down through a clear blue
sky
I hope this is a sign of things to come for the summer
It was the Semi final of the Knock Out Cup and a final place up for
grabs at Mansfield Towns Field Mill ground
The game kicked off at 11:00
The ground was hard with a little give in it
Chesterfield Town U9 domiated for long spells in the first half and
credit to Shirebrook Rangers U9 who defended well
Luke (Left Foot Whizz) Waller passed the ball to Elliot (Ellboy) Allsop
who won a corner the corner was easily dealt with by the
Shirebrook Rangers U9 defence
A run down the right by Ryan (Air) Mills a quick ball inside to Luke
(Left Foot Whizz) Waller a fine strike pulled off an equally fine
save
from the Shirebrook Rangers U9 keeper as he touched the ball on to
the bar and the rebound was cleared by his defence
Sam (Hitman) Goodban beat 2 defenders and a great shot went just wide
Jamie (Mr Cool) Bonsor was assured at the back although at times with
the bouncy pitch he rushed a couple of clearances
resulting in a throw in to Shirebrook Rangers U9 but the threat was
easily dealt with by Finn (Sure Shot) Oakley, Jamie (Mr Cool) Bonsor
and
(Cool Hand) Luke Spragg
Chesterfield Town U9 then won another corner Joe (Jinker) Millward
swung it in and again the Shirebrook Rangers U9 keeper reacted quickly
to push the ball on to the post and Shirebrook Rangers U9 cleared
again
Shirebrook Rangers U9 pushed forward and a mistake by (Cool Hand)
Luke Spragg went straight to a Shirebrook Rangers U9 forward whose
shot was cleared off the line by Finn (Sure Shot) Oakley
Elliot (Ellboy) Allsop passed to Sam (Hitman) Goodban a ball inside
from Sam found Luke (Left Foot Whizz) Waller another great shot clipped
the bar
Rio (Marksman) Topham filcked the ball inside to Finn (Sure Shot)
another fine save by the Shirebrook Rangers keeper
Half Time Chesterfield Town U9 0 V Shirebrook Rangers U9 0
Shirebrook Rangers U9 started the second half
Again they defended well and at times looked dangerous on the break
Chances for both sides in the second half where few and far between
Joe (Jinker) Millward took another corner which Sam (Hitman) Goodban
turned across the face of goal
Luke (Left Foot Whizz) Waller put the ball over from 5 metres
Ryan (Air) Mills had a great run down the right a great cross come
shot hit the post
Would anyone score I was beginning to doubt it
Then it happened and in the words of the great Rugby League commentator
Eddie Waring "it was an up and under"
as Finn (Sure Shot) Oakley hit the ball high in the air I remarked
that's going in and freakishly it did 1-0
Shirebrook Rangers U9 did not deserve to lose the game in such fashion
but thats football
Final Score Chesterfield Town U9 1 V Shirebrook Rangers U9 0

an unbelievable curling left foot strike hit the post unlucky Luke
A long ball from the Selston FC U9 defence deceived Jamie (Mr Cool)
Bonsor and Selston FC U9 went 1-0 up
At times Chesterfield Town U9 did not call for the ball enough a prime
example Rio (Marksman) Topham and Sam (Hitman) Goodban
both went for the same ball a shout would have resulted in a shot
on goal both hesitated and Selston FC U9 cleared
Rio (Marksman) Topham had a shot great save by the Selston FC U9 keeper
who then got lucky as the rebound hit him and went out for a corner
Credit to Mr Topham who then introduced Josh Turner he made an immediate
impact running down the left and switching the ball right releasing
Ryan (Air) Mills
a cross from Ryan (Air) Mills produced a corner
Josh Turner delivered brilliantly and Finn (Sure Shot) Oakley's left
foot made it 1-1
Selston FC U9 had another attack (Cool Hand) Luke Spragg saved well
and tried to release Ryan (Air) Mills unfortunately the ball went
to a Selston FC U9 striker
(Cool Hand) Luke Spragg saved brilliantly but the rebound was turned
in 2-1 seconds before half time
We went in losing but this week the first half was ours
Ourplayers are learning it is a team game and Ryan (Air) Mills gave
his all in the first half and asked for a rest
Half Time Chesterfield Town U9 1 V Selston FC U9 2
Joe (Jinker) Millward was introduced but again I give credit to Joe
for telling Mr Topham his leg was hurting after 2 minutes
something that would not have happened at the beginning of the season
showing how much the lads have progressed in a team spirit
looking out for each other bring it on
Luke (Left Foot Whizz) Waller won the ball in mid field and passed
to Elliot (Ellboy) Allsop who won a free kick
Josh Turner took the free kick with a great shot which dipped and
the Selston FC U9 defender managed to deflect the ball on to the post
Another perfectly taken corner by Josh Turner found the head of Rio
(Marksman) Topham 2-2
We where back in the game again
Selston FC U9 did not give up and won a corner themselves great delivery
but (Cool Hand) Luke Spragg punched the ball to safety
Luke (Left Foot Whizz) passed to Elliot (Ellboy) Allsop a fine dipping
cross earned Chesterfield Town U9 another corner
up step Josh Turner again another great delivery to the head of Luke
(Left Foot Whizz) Waller who made it 3-2
Chances where again being limited in the last 10 minutes in a game
which football won to see both sides give everything and play so well
at a young age quick passes great tackles and good sportsmanship won
the day no one on that pitch had a bad game from both sides
Credit to both managers for producing players with such tallent and
determination

Afternoon Chesterfield Town U9 Supporters
T Bone T your resident match reporter and weather man here
direct from the T shack
Well the weekend is here again and after a mini heat wave in the
week while at work
we are back to clouds and cold in fact freezing weather for Saturday
typical
It took me 2 hours this morning looking for Elliots trunks for Ryans
pool party until I realised it was the type of pool you play with
balls
We where looking forward to a good match today with Selston top
of Division 2 and Chesterfield lying second
It was the Semi Final of the Benevolant Cup
The game kicked off at 11:30 with Chesterfield Town U9 kicking down
hill
Luke (Left Foot Whizz) Waller passed the ball to Sam (Hitman) Goodban
a quick pass to Rio (Marksman) Topham his shot went just wide
Chesterfield Town U9 where under pressure for long spells in the
first half and Selston FC U9 played some excellent football creating
a couple of
chances which went just wide. (Cool Hand) Luke Spragg, Jamie (Mr
Cool) Bonsor and Finn (Sure Shot) Oakley all had to be at their
best to deny Selston FC U9
Joe (Jinker) Millward had a shot which was saved by the Selston
FC U9 keeper.
At times Chesterfield Town U9 gave Selston FC U9 to much time to
control the ball and pick a pass something you can not afford to
do against a good passing side
The game ebbed and flowed and when Chesterfield Town U9 did get
the ball forward Rio (Marksman) Topham was running the line on his
own and worked tirelessly
to hold the ball up to relieve the pressure but neither side could
break the deadlock in a half which belonged to Selston FC U9
Half Time Selston FC U9 0 V Chesterfield Town U9 0
The second half kicked off and Chesterfield Town U9 introduced some
extra width with Elliot (Ellboy) Allsop on the left and Ryan (Air)
Mills on the right
a pass from Jamie (Mr Cool) Bonsor found Luke (Left Foot Whizz)
Waller he picked out Rio (Marksman) Topham penalty was the shout
but what a perfectly timed challenge by the Selston FC U9 defender
putting the ball out for a corner
Rio (Marksman) Topham delivered a great cross Finn (Sure Shot) Oakley
heading just wide
Chesterfield Town U9 where starting to play better and a quick ball
from Sam (Hitman) Goodban found Elliot (Ellboy) Allsop
his crisp cross caused problems for the Selston FC U9 defence and
Ryan (Air) Mills put the ball just wide
The referee then tried to play an advantage for Selston FC U9 after
Finn (Sure Shot) Oakley pushed a Selston FC U9 striker in the back
the ball went out of play and the referee gave the initial free
kick it was a good decision
Selston FC U9 thundered the ball in to the goal OH NO 1-0 10 minutes
to go
The lads had to dig deep again
From the kick off Luke (Left Foot Whizz) Waller put Ryan (Air) Mills
through on goal a push in the back penalty
Rio (Marksman) Topham calmly put the ball in to the corner of the
net 30 seconds after going behind 1-1
Selston FC U9 won another free kick on the left of the area great
shot but (Cool Hand) Luke Spragg saved brilliantly yet again
Jamie (Mr Cool) Bonsor threaded the ball to Rio (Marksman) Topham
a pass inside and Ryan (Air) Mills turned the ball in to the net
2-1
4 minutes to go and tense times a great run down the left by Elliot
(Ellboy) Allsop he moved the ball to his right foot and a cracking
shot clipped the bar
A long clearance by Jamie (Mr Cool) Bonsor the bounce deceived the
Selston FC U9 defender and Rio (Marksman) Topham was on to it like
a March Hare 3-1
breathing space at last
Chesterfield Town U9 played the game out to the final whistle
Final Score Selston FC U9 1 V Chesterfield Town U9 3
Scorers Rio (Marksman) Topham 2, Ryan (Air) Mills 1

Quarter final day in the Knock out Cup
The game kicked off at 10:00
Robin Hood Colts started the game well and had a good game plan
on a pitch which had dried very quickly causing an uneven bounce
They looked very dangerous at times on the attack and (Cool Hand)
Luke Spragg had to be at his best to see off a couple of early chances
Sam (Hitman) Goodban had a great run down the right and crossed
the ball for Ryan (Air) Mills to turn the ball home with his left
foot 1-0
Finn (Sure Shot) Oakley looked assured at the back and our defence
held firm.
Josh Turner was up and down the field linking well with the attack
and defence
However it took a great piece of thinking from Joe (Jinker) Millward
to break down the Robin Hood Colts defence
he turned and hit an unstoppable shot from the left wing in to the
corener of the net 2-0
Luke (Left Foot Whizz) Waller was his usual self winning ball after
ball and distributing it well
Jamie (Mr Cool) Bonsor passed the ball to Rio (Marksman) Topham
he turned the ball to Elliot (Ellboy) Allsop his shot was turned
away
by the Robin Hood Colts defence (great defending)
Half Time Chesterfield Town U9 2 V Robin Hood Colts 0
The second half kicked off with Chesterfield Town U9 attacking and
pushing forward this left holes at the back and (Cool Hand) Luke
Spragg
pulled off another couple of good saves
Sam (Hitman) Goodban then passed the ball to Luke (Left Foot Whizz)
Waller his first time pass found Rio (Marksman) Topham 3-0
Credit to Robin Hood Colts U9 they did not give a carried on playing
some good football
Ryan (Air) Mills moved the ball to Josh Turner his first time pass
found Elliot (Ellboy) Allsop a left foot cross went to Joe (Jinker)
Millward
a quick turn and shot 4-0
Robin Hood Colts U9 attacked down the right and got a well deserved
goal 4-1
Josh Turner found Elliot (Ellboy) Allsop who produced the pass of
the game to slide in Sam (Hitman) Goodban 5-1

The Norse god Tony the Navigators skills of navigation must only
be in effective in a car
As I got lost walking from the car park to the ground today and
Mr T had to ring me to find out where I was with the warm up balls
luckily Sam Goodban's dad's green coat caught my eye and I was back
on track. The weather was bright and mild
The game kicked off at 10:00
Something we had to remind our lads about as they did not turn up
for the first half
It was completely dominated by Manor FC Red U9
They took the lead early after a mix up in defence between (Cool
Hand) Luke Spragg and Finn (Sure Shot) Oakley 0-1
Manor FC Red U9 played some excellent football and where always
first to the ball while Chesterfield Town U9 where always rushing
and unable to control the ball on a deceiving pitch which looked
good but had a variable bounce in it
Manor FC Red U9 where then awarded a free kick. The free kick was
taken with venum and accuracy with (Cool Hand) Luke Spragg making
ammends for his earlier mistake with a fine save
Rio (Marksman) Topham had a couple of runs resulting in him shooting
just wide and Sam (Hitman) Goodban did the same
Half Time - Manor FC Red U9 1 V Chesterfield Town U9 0
The second half kicked off and Chesterfield Town U9 started to get
their act together
Luke (Left Foot Whizz) Waller started to dominate mid field like
we know he can a great through ball from him to Joe (Jinker) Millward
his pass found Rio (Marksman) Topham who turned in a flash 1-1
Manor FC Red where now pinned back in their own half for long spells.
They did have the occasional break but did not look as threatening
as they did in the first half
Jamie (Mr Cool) Bonsor had settled down at the back and was passing
the ball well
Jamie moved the ball to Ryan (Air) Mills he threaded it to Elliot
(Ellboy) Allsop a quick pass to Sam (Hitman) Goodban
Sam's shot was saved but Luke (Left Foot Whizz) Waller was there
to turn in the rebound 2-1
Manor
FC Red U9 then attacked down the right a great cross looked as if
they where going to equalise but Ryan (Air) Mills did just enough
and the danger passed
Finn (Sure Shot) Oakley then passed to Sam (Hitman) Goodban he found
Rio (Marksman) Topham who laid a pass back to Elliot (Ellboy) Allsop
his thunderous left foot drive looked all on a goal but the Manor
FC Red U9 keeper pulled off a great save.
There was now 4 minutes to go and nervous times as any slip up could
cost us dearly. Mr T decided to move Finn (Sure Shot) Oakley back
to ensure we held on to what we had Finn and Jamie (Mr Cool) Bonsor
did what they had too and Mr T's decision was a good 1
Luke (Left Foot Whizz) Waller found Joe (Jinker) Millward a great
run and cross down the left found Sam (Hitman) Goodban in space
3-1
The points finally secured
Final Score - Manor FC Red U9 1 V Chesterfield Town U9 3

We dug deep today in a game that Manor FC Red U9 could have easily
won they gave us a game and played really well especially in the
first half
but credit to you all its been a long time since we have been behind.
You did not play well in the first half or Manor did not let you
play however
you did not get your heads down you came out fighting in the second
half and showed True Grit to turn this one around well done

T Bone T your resident match reporter and weather man back live
at the T shack after a great holiday in Tenerife
Must add not got warm since we got back and our ancestors certainly
got lost not finding that island and settleing down here in England
The weather today was grey dull wet and dismal
However I led the wagon train from Heath to the ground under the
pseudonym of Tony the Navigator a norse god who navigated by the
stars
I could not see the stars but we got to the ground without a hitch
maybe it was great navigational skills or the fact we had been there
3 times previously
This was a Knockout Cup second round game with Debdale Manor Colts
lying 3rd in Division 1 having conceded only 6 goals all season
and Chesterfield Town lying 2nd in Division 2 the makings for a
great game of football and we where not to be dissappointed
The game kicked off at 11:00
The first 5 minutes of the game was a pretty even affair with both
sides looking for an opening
Eventually it came Luke (Left Foot Whizz) Waller found Rio (Marksman)
Topham on the left wing The marksman crossed for
Sam (Hitman) Goodban to tap in from close range 1-0
Jamie (Mr Cool) Bonsor was playing well at the back and Finn (Sure
Shot) Oakley was outstanding just in front of him
Chesterfield where then awarded a free kick just inside the Debdale
half Joe (Jinker) Millward took the free kick and
thundered it in from 25 metres great goal 2-0
Debdale and Chesterfield went forward and both sides played some
great attractive football on a heavy pitch
(Cool Hand) Luke Spragg was confident in goal and his distribution
from the back was outstanding
However neither side could penetrate the other sides defences
Half Time Debdale Manor Colts U9 0 V Chesterfield Town U9 2
Chesterfield Town U9 kicked off the second half with Josh Turner
having a shot just wide
Ryan (Air) Mills was at the back and playing outstanding showing
how versatile he is but
do not get in his way when he is in this position as he clears everything
up including his own players as he completely wiped out
Elliot (Ellboy) Allsop ensuring Debdale did not score
Chesterfield Town U9 where then awarded a corner which Rio (Marksman)
Topham took the ball dipped and swung towards the goal
the Debdale keeper tried to keep it out but the ball ended up in
the net 3-0
The next move saw 1 of the best team goals we have created all season
(Cool Hand) Luke Spragg threw the ball to Luke (Left Foot Whizz)
Waller
his first time pass found Elliot (Ellboy) Allsop his quick pass
found Rio (Marksman) Topham who moved the ball left to Joe (Jinker)
Millward
The Jinker took on the Debdale defence and crossed the ball in to
the box for a tap in by Rio (Marksman) Topham 4-0
Sam (Hitman) Goodban released Rio (Marksman) Topham his thundering
shot hit the post the rebound was put just wide by Ryan (Air) Mills
Joe (Jinker) Millward took a corner and Luke (Left Foot Whizz) Waller's
header hit the bar
The last 5 minutes of the game where dominated by Debdale and they
earned themselves a well deserved goal 4-1
(Cool Hand) Luke Spragg pulled off a couple of good saves and Debdale
hit the post
The final whistle came
Debdale Manor Colts U9 1 V Chesterfield Town U9 4
Scorers Rio (Marksman) Topham 2, Joe (Jinker) Millward 1, Sam (Hitman)

It was a cold start to the game but the temperature got better as
Mr Sun appeared from behind the clouds
You guessed it Saturday mornings would not be the same without the
our usual Wacky Races detour
I thought Paul Mills had booked everyone a suprise meal in the New
Inn in Forest Town
No we had taken the wrong turn
We played on a 3G rubber crud pitch today it was big and suited
our passing game
The game kicked off at 10:00
I could not understand Derwent Rangers tactics on such a big pitch
as every kick off they had the ball was
immediately surrended to Chesterfield as they knocked the ball down
the wings which was easily picked up by the Chesterfield defence
However they have probably the best keeper in this division keep
up the good work
Josh Turner received the ball on the right his cross found Rio (Marksman)
Topham in space to round the keeper 1-0
Luke (Left Foot Whizz) Waller passed the ball back to Jamie (Mr
Cool) Bonsor playing in goal today Jamie found
Ryan (Air) Mills on the right he switched the ball to Josh Turner
2-0
Elliot (Ellboy) Allsop delivered an excellent corner Luke (Left
Foot Whizz) Waller's shot was saved but Rio (Marksman) Topham turned
brilliantly
to knock in the rebound 3-0
Josh Turner was then picked out on the left by Finn (Sure Shot)
Oakley Josh weaved in and out of 2 defenders struck a great shot
which
hit the bar Rio (Marksman) Topham was first to react as he headed
home 4-0
Sam (Hitman) Goodban picked the perfect pass for Finn (Sure Shot)
Oakley to score a great individual goal 5-0
Half Time Derwnet Rangers U9 0 V Chesterfield Town U9 5
Chesterfield kicked off the second half
Luke (Left Foot Whizz) Waller moved the ball down the right to Josh
Turner
Josh delivered a fantastic shot come cross 6-0
Ryan (Air) Mills playing well at the back knocked the ball to Elliot
(Ellboy) Allsop his shot produced a fine save from the Derwent Keeper
The rebound fell to Rio (Marksman) Topham another great save went
for a corner
Elliot (Ellboy) Allsop delivered a great cross for Luke(Left Foot
Whizz) Waller to head home 7-0
The referee gave Chesterfield a penalty for hand ball up stepped
Rio (Marksman) Topham
Rio opened his body up to much causing him to lean back and put
the ball over the bar for a goal kick
Jamie (Mr Cool) Bonsor then picked the ball up from a hopeful ball
by the Derwent defence he launched the ball forward Sam (Hitman)
Goodban
controlled well and passed to Ryan (Air) Mills his cross found Elliot
(Ellboy) Allsop at the back post and Ellboy lashed the ball home
with his left foot 8-0
This was Chesterfield Town U9's 100th league goal this season and
according to Mr T the ice cream for the scorer is on Andy Waller
Well done to all the lads for reaching this mile stone

What a day the rain never stopped but at least the wind had died
down into a steady breeze
The game kicked off at 11:00
Chesterfield Town U9 pinning Derwent Rangers U9 in their own half
for long periods of the game
The Derwent Rangers U9 keeper was magnificent pulling off a string
of fine saves
Sam (Hitman) Goodban found Joe (Jinker) Millward with a fine pass
1-0
Jamie (Mr Cool) Bonsor picked up the ball in mid field a great run
down the right his cross
found Josh Turner in space 2-0
A poor clearance from the Derwent defence landed at the feet of
Josh Turner a great shot made it 3-0
Finn (Sure Shot) Oakley ran down the right he switched the ball
to the left Elliot (Ellboy) Allsop flicked the ball
to Luke (Left Foot Whizz) Waller he crossed in to a crowded area
and Rio (Marksman) Topham turned it in 4-0
Finn (Sure Shot) Oakley then passed the ball back to (Cool Hand)
Luke Spragg his distribution and concentration this season
is getting better every game (Cool Hand) luke Spragg passed the
ball to Jamie (Mr Cool) Bonsor he moved the ball right to
Ryan (Air) Mills a ball inside by Ryan found Elliot (Ellboy) Allsop
who placed a left foot shot in the bottom corner 5-0
Half Time
Chesterfield Town U9 5 V Derwent Rangers U9 0
The second half was the same as the first
Ryan (Air) Mills ran down the right a game of pin ball in the Derwent
penalty area and eventually it was turned in by Sam (Hitman) Goodban
6-0
Joe (Jinker) Millward then won a corner which he passed to Jamie
(Mr Cool) Bonsor Jamie passed to Elliot (Ellboy) Allsop on the left
Elliot thundered it home with his right 7-0
Luke (Left Foot Whizz) Waller was then fouled in the middle of the
pitch Jamie (Mr Cool) Bonsor took the free kick and found Finn (Sure
Shot) Oakley 8-0
Ryan (Air) Mills then won a corner Joe (Jinker) Millward's cross
found the head of Rio (Marksman) Topham great header 9-0
A quick ball inside from Luke (Left Foot Whizz) Waller found Josh
Turner in space 10-0
A great pass out to the left by Sam (Hitman) Goodban found Joe (Jinker)
Millward in space a great run and ball inside found Rio (Marksman)
Topham
The Marksman flicked the ball calmly in to the net 11-0
Josh Turner then picked the ball up in mid field a great run through
the Derwent defence like a hot knife through butter ended up with
him walking it
in to the net 12-0
The final goal came after (Cool Hand) Luke Spragg released the ball
to Ryan (Air) Mills a great pass from Ryan found
Finn (Sure Shot) Oakley he beat 2 defenders and crashed the ball
home from 20 metre's 13-0
Final Score Chesterfield Town U9 13 V Derwent Rangers U9 0

Standing at Heath we all felt it was crazy to travel but we did
It was cold and freezing but Mr Sun was looking through the clouds
It was the longest trip of the year today for the away match at Southwell
On the way we found ourselves following Gay Jamie (Mr Cool) Bonsors
mum and found you guessed it a lovely triangle in the road to do our
usual Wacky Races trip around
I hope Jamie is fit for tomorrow as he fell ill just before the start
of the game (GET WELL SOON)
This lovely Nottinghamshire Town has a minster Paul Ryan (Air) Mills
dad asked me where the minster was
I said somewhere in the town only to turn around to see the biggest
Church outside Westminster peeking through the trees
It was a great site - The pitch was hard but with some give in it
The game kicked off at 11:20
The first half saw a slow start from Chesterfield Town U9
which of late has not been the normality as we usually start with
a high tempo hard pressing game.
A run by Ryan (Air) Mills found Rio (Marksman) Topham in space his
shot was well saved
Elliot (Ellboy) Allsop was there to follow up and tuck away the rebound
1-0
Luke (Left Foot Whizz) Waller was again dominating mid field and passing
the ball all over the pitch to his team mates
Joe (Jinker) Millward then received a great pass from Finn (Sure Shot)
Oakley Jinkers though ball found Rio (Marksman) Topham 2-0
Southwell City Lions where well organised and playing well and if
it was not for a magnificent save by (Cool Hand) Luke Spragg it would
have been 2-1
Well done Luke
Half Time Southwell City Lions U9 0 V Chesterfield Town U9 2
The turning point of the game came early in the second half with 2
goals in quick time the first from Rio (Marksman) Topham after a fine
through ball from Luke (Left Foot Whizz) Waller 3-0 and the second
from Joe (Jinker) Millward after a great pass from Finn (Sure Shot)
Oakley 4-0
Sam (Hitman) Goodban played a great 1 2 with Ryan (Air) Mills 5-0
Elliot (Ellboy) Allsop then received a great pass from Luke (Left
Foot Whizz) Waller
Ellboy hit the ball on the volley (Renaldo would have been proud of
the way it dipped) great save but Joe (Jinker) Millward followed in
6-0
A free kick on the edge of the Southwell box Finn (Sure Shot) Oakley
drilled it home 7-0
A great individual run by Joe (Jinker) Millward made it 8-0
Finn (Sure Shot) Oakley moved the ball to Luke (Left Foot Whizz) Waller
another fine save but again the rebound was turned in this time by
Sam (Hitman) Goodban 9-0
Rio (Marksman) Topham played a great 1 2 with Ryan (Air) Mills another
pass by the marksman found Joe (Jinker) Millward 10-0
Elliot (Ellboy) Allsop then passed to Sam (Hitman) Goodban a flick

Another great performance but the downer for me today was at the end

passes for the scorers there would be no goals.

Bringing a couple of fine saves from (Cool Hand) Luke Spragg
Another attack by Quarrydale United and our defence was breached 4-1
This was the first league goal conceded since 25th September, 2010
305 minutes a great record. This gave more heart to Quarrydale United
U9 but Jamie (Mr Cool) Bonsor, Finn (Sure Shot) Oakley and (Cool Hand)
Luke Spragg held firm. Elliot (Ellboy) Allsop was like a terrior after
a bone and would not be shook off, Ryan (Air) Mills was putting in
a great shift and delivering some good passes out of defence.
Sam (Hitman) Goodban had to be withdrawn due to an injury (Hope you
are ok for Handsworth)
Luke (Left Foot Whizz) Waller then recieved the ball in mid field
from Joe (Jinker) Millward
The Left Foot Whizz beat 2 and delivered the pass of the season so
far to Rio (Marksman) Topham it still had to be finished great goal
5-1
Ryan (Air) Mills had a great run down the right and passed to Jamie
(Mr Cool) Bonsor he found Luke (Left Foot Whizz)Waller
Luke looked up and hit the ball surely a goal no what a save by the
Quarrydale keeper. This was the best save I have seen this season
and would have graced any standard of football corner to Chesterfield
Town U9

clearing up everything Quarydale had to throw at us at the back

Foot Whizz) Waller
He fed Joe (Jinker) Millward whose stunning shot hit the post and
rebounded on to the goalkeeper 1-0
Rio (Marksman) Topham had some fantastic runs up front holding the
ball up well for his team mates
Luke (Left Foot Whizz) Waller was then fouled on the edge of the Quarrydale
area
Up stepped Joe (Jinker) Millward whose shot crashed against the bar
and out for a goalkick unlucky
Sam (Hitman) Goodban had no right to win a corner for CTFC but he
did not give up on the ball going out
putting the Quarrydale defence under pressure which led to a corner
well done Sam
Joe (Jinker) Millward took the corner Quarrydale managed to clear
but only as far as Ryan (Air) Mills
Ryan Passed the ball back to Jamie (Mr Cool) Bonsor 1 Metre inside
the Quarrydale half
I can only describe the shot as pure magic as it thundered in from
all of 25 metre's brilliant Jamie a goal to grace any game 2-0

The game kicked off at 10:00am
Robin Hood Colts came at us from the kick off but Chesterfield Town

Oakley and Jamie (Mr Cool) Bonsor where in no mood to concede a goal
Sam (Hit Man) Goodban passed the ball to Joe (Jinker) Millward Joe
crossed from the right and Elliot (Ellboy) Allsop shot 1-0
I have to reflect on the tactics of Robin Hood to shoot from the kick
off which just lost them posession every time and put them under pressure
from a CTFC side who where in a passing frame of mind.
Joe (Jinker) Millward then crossed the ball to Finn (Sure Shot) Oakley
his flick header found Rio (Marksman) Topham he turned brilliantly
2-0
Joe (Jinker) Millward then had a great run down the left he had a
little bit of luck but his fine shot found the corner of the net 3-0

What a glorious November day for football
We arrived at the ground and I gave the referee our team sheet just
after the final whistle of the game before ours
The referee looked at me a little bemused I then realised it was only
half time in that game
We kicked off at 10:30 on a very good playing surface although the
pitch was lacking a little bit in length
Ryan (Air) mills was up and down the right wing like a jet his crosses
where proving very difficult for the Walesby defence
Ryan (Air) then produced a fantastic cross come shot which ended up
in the goal 1-0
Jamie (Mr Cool) Bonsor was his usual reliable self in defence picking
the ball up his pass found Sam (Hit Man) Goodban in midfield
Sam (Hit Man) moved the ball wide for Joe (Jinker) Millward he jinked
his way down the wing and found Luke (Left Foot Whizz) Waller in space
2-0 great goal
CTFC then had a corner Joe (Jinker) took a short 1 to Elliot (Ellboy)
Allsop his return pass to Jinker he curled the ball with precision
in to the net for the goal of the game 3-0
CTFC defence of Cool hand Luke Spragg, Finn (Sure Shot) Oakley and
Jamie (Mr Cool) Bonsor stood firm
Finn (Sure Shot) produced a telling pass to Ryan (Air) 4-0
CTFC where playing the ball out of defence well and Jamie (Mr Cool)
passed to Luke (Left Foot Whizz) his pass found Joe (Jinker) he beat
a couple of defenders 5-0
Cool hand Luke pulled off a great save and released Ryan (Air) another
jet propelled run and cross down the right found Joe (Jinker) in space
6-0
Half time Walesby JFC U9 0 Chesterfield Town U9 6
The second half was a bit of a messy affair with CTFC starting to
play as if the engine was running on empty
Elliot (Ellboy) had a left foot shot just wide Ryan (Air) crashed
the ball against the cross bar and Luke (Left Foot Whizz) looked to
have scored 3 times but Harry Walsh in the Walesby goal pulled off
a magnificent treble save.
Sam (Hit Man) fizzed a shot at the Walesby goal another fantastic
save by Harry Walsh
Finn (Sure Shot) still had plenty in the tank and he played a 1 2
with Rio (Marksman) Topham to finish the scoring 7-0

Firstly I must thank Sally (Joes Mum) for my cup of coffee
Which nearly turned out to be never ending as she put a stirring stick
in it
to tell which was which my eyes not being very good thought it to
be a straw
I then realised it was a stick as no coffee came out of the oh well.
It was a lovely sunny day and Southwell kicked off at 11.00 playing
towards the changing rooms
It was not long before Chesterfield got in to their stride with Joe
Millward putting in a cross from the left for Rio Topham 1-0
Luke Waller then received the ball in midfield and ran at the Southwell
defence a shooting opportunity arose 2-0
A great ball from Finn Oakley at the back to Sam Goodban running down
the right 3-0
Jamie Bonsor was excellent at the back and Mr Cool picked up the ball
picked out a pass for Elliot Ellboy Allsop his cross found Finn 4-0
Chesterfield switched off and Southwell played some excellent 1 touch
football only to be denied by Cool Hand Luke Spragg
Cool Hand released the ball to Luke Waller his pass picked out Ellboy
he beat 2 players before entering the box
other players may have gone alone but his fine pass picked out Sam
5-0
Ryan Mills then had a fantastic run down the right to cross for Joe
6-0
Luke Waller then found Ellboy his pass went to Rio a quick flick to
Joe 7-0
Half time Chesterfield Town 7 Southwell City Lions 0
Chesterfield Town Kicked off the second half where they left off the
first
pressing Southwell tightly but not having it all their own way though
and a special mention for Jamie (Mr Cool) and Finn
who where both outstanding at the back.
CTFC got a throw in down the right a quick throw from Ryan to Rio
what a turn and
shot 8-0
Rio then picked up the ball in midfield a great individual run and
shot 9-0
Ryan received a pass from Luke Waller a fantastic 1 2 and Luke made
it 10-0
Ellboy then picked up the ball near the half way line great wing play
again a cross nearly cut Rio in half his deflection hit the net 11-0
Ellboy received the ball from Finn his quick pass to Ryan 12-0
A poor clearance from Southwell found Rio on the edge of the box alone
13-0
Luke Waller was found brilliantly by Jamie (Mr Cool) 14-0
CTFC had a corner a quick one taken by Ellboy to Luke a great cross
Rio was there again 15-0
Another quick corner to Ryan his pass went to Sam 16-0
a great run and solo effort this time by Sam 17-0
Luke then had a 1 2 with Ellboy 18-0
To finish off the scoring you've guessed it a pass from Ellboy and
Rio was there again 19-0
Final score Chesterfield Town 19 Southwell City Lions 0
Rio Topham was Man of the Match scoring 7 a great achievment in any
game of football but its not all about scoring
I would like to give a special mention to Elliot (Ellboy) Allsop who
did not score but his unselfish display and brilliant wing play did
lead to him making 7

Got off to a good start today following Mr T (Chris) to the match
with his state of the art sat nav
We arrived at the ground wrong one only to be directed to the correct
pitch it was like the Wacky races the only thing missing was Dick
Dastardly and Mutley as we did 2 circuits of the school only to arrive
back at the front of the building 10 mtrs from where we set off
At least we had arrived
On a cold wet day CTFC stated the game kicking downhill with the wind
The first half was completeley dominated by CTFC with Finn Oakley
playing outstanding in defence picking up everything
and passing the ball to perfection CTFC had wave after wave of attack
leading to a corner on the left
Joe Millward swung the ball in and Finn scored a great volley 1-0
Ryan Mills was dominating the right wing and Elliot Ellboy Allsop
the left swinging in some great crosses. From a cross by Ryan Joe
made it 2-0
Man of the Match Luke Waller was shielding the ball well and using
his body strength to maintain a grip on midfield it was a pass from
Luke to Elliot whose cross
led to another corner. Another great delivery from Joe and Finn was
there again 3-0
Half Time Shirebrook Rangers U9 0 CTFC U9 3
The second half was the same Jamie Bonsor dropped in to defence with
his usual Mr cool defending and delivered some excellent passes to
release the mid field led by Luke and Sam Goodban. Sam's tackling
was hard but fair and he then released Rio Topham whose shot was brilliantly
saved.
When Shirebrook did break the ever reliable Cool hand Luke Spragg
was there to save which I give him great credit for on such a cold
day and with little to do to maintain his concentration.
Ellboy then tenatiously won the ball in mid field and ran down the
wing a 1 2 with Luke led to Ellboy unleashing a thunder bolt 4-0
Some great interpassing between Jamie, Finn, Ryan and Sam led to a
great goal scored by Sam 5-0

afternoon all CTFC U9 fans - Resident reporter back live
This was a Benevolant cup game 10.00am Kick Off
CTFC kicked off again against a strong wind. I do not know if we have
a phobia about cup games but we started off very slowly against a
well organised Welbeck side who had a very strange 3-3 formation which
seemed to catch us off guard.
Welbeck took the lead in the first 10 minutes with a goal from Ryan
Ingram.
CTFC laboured on untill the introduction of Luke Waller and Finn Oakley
this changed things with CTFC looking more dangerous. Rio Topham looking
like his old self had a couple of long range shots one of which rebounded
to Elliot Allsop but Welbeck defended well to deny him a goal scoring
chance.
Man of the Match Joe Millward the went down the left wing and scored
a great individual goal to equalise 1-1. Welbeck then had a free kick
on the left the shot was saved brilliantly by cool hand Luke Spragg
in goal but Welbeck where the first to respond from the rebound and
William Evans made it 2-1. Rio was causing more problems and he passed
the ball to Ryan Mills who threaded it through for Joe 2-2
Half time CTFC U9 2 Welbeck Welfare U9 2
Welbeck restarted the game
Luke Waller was now beginning to dominate and the left foot wizzard
passed the ball to Sam Goodban who was beginning to play like the
Sam we know. He passed the ball to the ever reliable Jamie Bonser
who moved the ball to Elliot for him to bend the ball in from the
left with his right foot 3-2.
Welbeck had a couple of good chances but the defence of Ryan, Jamie
and Finn held strong. Rio then went down the right wing and crossed
the ball for Joe to cheekily back heel the ball into the net and finish
a well deserved hat trick 4-2
Luke then created a couple of shooting chances and Elliot sent in
a great corner which Finn just failed to get on the end off. Cool
hand Luke had one more save to make
The final whistle came
CTFC U9 4 Welbeck Welfare U9 2
A well deserved hard fought win in the end but credit to Welbeck for
playing so well

late kick off today 11:45 at Sutton in Ashfield
24 degrees was forcast but we struggled to get 14
The first half saw CTFC kicking up hill against the wind
CTFC completely dominated the half with some great midfield play by
Luke Waller & Finn Oakley
and excellent wing play by Elliot Allsop & Ryan Mills with Jamie
Bonsor mopping everything up at the back
In fact Cool Hand Luke Spragg only touched the ball a couple of times
with outstanding assurance
CTFC where awarded a penalty which Jamie unfortunately put over the
bar. This only inspired CTFC more with Ryan
zipping some fantastic crosses in but none where converted until Rio
turned the Mansfield defence inside out to score
an excellent individual goal looking like the Rio of last season
The half time whistle blew
Mansfield Boys 0 CTFC 1
The second half was a repeat of the first half with CTFC passing the
ball to perfection and increasing their lead to 3-0 with 2 well taken
goals by Sam Goodban. The move of the game resulted in the goal of
the game with 1 touch passes from Ryan to Luke Waller to Joe to Elliot
who bent the ball in from the
left with his right foot in to the goal.
Joe then took a free kick which Rio back headed in to the goal 5-0
Man of the match Ryan Mills the made it 6-0 with a well deserved individual
goal and Elliot finshed the scoring 7-0
The final whistle came with Manfield left wondering what happened
I can only comment on this as being the best passing performance I
have seen in a long time and sometimes you forget the boys are only

The
game started brightly for CTFC kicking up hill they had the majoity
of possession for the first 10 minutes and a great run from Luke Waller
produced a goal.
However 30 seconds later staight from the kick off Manor went down
the right wing and from the cross near the corner flag the ball some
how managed to find the bottom of the net 1-1.
Manor then started to dominate possession and scored 2-1.
CTFC started to get back into the game with a strong run from Sam
Goodman down the right his cross was just to close to the keeper otherwise
Elliot Allsop would have been on the end of it for a tap in Luke Waller
then went down the left and from a tight angle scored his second to
make the score 2-2 at half time
CTFC again started brightly and from a Manor goal kick Elliot Allsop
chased the ball down causing the Manor defence to make a mistake the
ball ending up with Sam Goodman who madE it 3-2 to CTFC Immediately
after the self distruct button was pressed again and Luke Waller brought
a Manor striker down to give them a penalty 3-3
CTFC seemed to switch off defensively for 5 minutes to allow Manor
to take what seemed an unassailable 5-3 lead but credit to CTFC as
they fought back Joe Millward had a great run done the left and crossed
for Ryan Mills to make it 5-4
Manor then had another chance to seal victory but a fantastic save
to grace any match was pulled off by Luke Spragg Jamie Bonsor then
passed the ball to Finn Oakley who passed to Sam Goodman 5-5 probably
the best move of the game
CTFC could then have won the game in the last minute with a great
shot from Rio Topham clipping the post. CTFC then forced a corner
but the ball just would not go in
Final score 5-5
Great game both sides could and should have won a real credit for
junior football

I
would firstly like to thank Kev and Jane at Staveley Hall Garden
Centre for kindly sponsoring the team this year
The game kicked off at 10.00am on a fine september morning with
CTFC kicking up hill against a slight breeze
The first 15 minutes of the half was dominated by CTFC but they
failed to score playing excellent football but the Selston defence
held firm and the keeper pulling off a couple of saves. If anything
at times CTFC overplayed instead of taking shots when they presented
themselves
the last five minutes Selston came in to their own with a couple
of shots followed up by three corners in quick succession with the
CTFC defence playing well
The teams went in at half time drawing 0-0
The second half was completely different with Selston dominating
for long spells after scoring 3 quick goals in the first 5 minutes
of the second half which proved to be to much for
CTFC to pull back (The number 7 Regan Bates scoring a hat trick
for Selston) Joe Millward pulled 1 back for CTFC and while CTFC
pushed forward towards the end of the match to try to salvage a
point Selston caught CTFC on the break and number 9 Cameron Rawson
made it 4
It was a thouroughly entertaining game but Selston deserved their
well earned victory.
